Story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
Recently a member of my family was given the ‘all clear’ following treatment for cancer…..it makes me feel so lucky and grateful…… but I am all too aware that there are many more people who are not so fortunate.
I’m sure like me many of you know someone affected by cancer or a terminal illness and that is why St Giles is such an important service for theMidlands.
With this in mind I am taking part in a sponsored walk in Peru!!!!
This is a ‘once in a life time opportunity’ to walk the Inca trail to Machu Picchu…’The Lost City of the Incas’…. and the chance to raise money for such a worthwhile charity…..well I couldn’t let it pass me by.
This is a huge challenge, starting in Cuzco in - I will be walking 50 miles through 3 mountain passes climbing to an altitude of 4200 meters - much of the trail is made up of thousands of steps and rugged terrain……so no all inclusive hotels and clubbing till the early hours …..No I will be roughing it under canvas, no shower for 4 days and very basic facilities (ahhhhh) …….
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: St Giles Hospice gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please show your support by sponsoring me.
