She was also the only female to summit&nbsp;Baruntse&nbsp;in the Autumn 2010 climbing season.</p> <p>The&nbsp;fund-raising&nbsp;in aid of Romsey Gateway Club continues as Becky prepares for Everest, so keep donating what you can! Thank you.</p> <p>-----------</p> <p>From the day I came up with some crazy plans to climb Everest, mountaineering has become the focus of my gap year, with hours of training and searching for sponsorship.</p> <p>Baruntse is a mountain in eastern Nepal, standing at 7,129 metres (23,389 feet), higher than any other mountain outside the Himalayas. First climbed in 1954, the South Ridge offers a formidable challenge and views of some of the worlds highest mountains including Everest.</p> <p>So please dig deep and give whatever you can. It's an amazing charity that I'm really passionate about helping. As a small club, every little donation really does help, so even if it's only a &pound;1, it's still &pound;1 closer to the target!
