Adidas Dublin Marathon 2009 · 26 October 2009 ·

Its prime purpose is to provide appropriate help, medical, financial and otherwise, to current and retired jockeys who are injured, unable to ride or in need.

Story

I've done it!!!

Have to admit it hurt alot - more than my first marathon, but i finished - and i wasnt last, or behind the man who decided to run it backwards!!!

No toe nails lost in action this time, and luckily no blisters, just my ever faithful bad back.  Unfortunately, I was way out on my hoped finish time.  I crossed the line in around 5hours 10mins.  Looks like I will have to do another one now to improve the time!!!

To those of you who have already sponsored me, thank you so much.  It made completing the agonising 26.2miles that little bit easier.  And to those of you who haven't yet sponsored me - it's not too late!  The Injured Jockeys Fund is an amazing charity that have helped support many jockeys and their familes after falls and injuries, and the more money I can raise, the more it will help them continue to provide that help and support.

All your support is really appreciated.  Thank you :-)

Becky
