Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit the TEAM BEEBLE POWER JustGiving page.

Some people will remember that this time last year, we weren't just embarking on a journey from London to Brighton, we were also starting another - teaching one team member to ride a bike.  She lived to tell the tale and is back for seconds and, along with her bike tutor and husband (they are the same person!) will be setting off for Brighton again on Sunday, 16 June.

Although we're now both competent cyclists (not that James' competence was in doubt!), Bethany hadn't cycled for most of the time since the last L2B due to a nasty ankle injury.  That said, the starting point this year was miles away from last year's (figuratively, of course - it is actually still in Clapham), so we decided, in our infinite wisdom, to cycle from London to Brighton not once, but TWICE.  That's right, as well as doing the "normal" L2B event, we've also entered the London to Brighton Night Ride, which is on the night of 13/14 July.  It's a bit longer than the daytime route at 60 miles and although Ditchling Beacon is off the cards for health and safety reasons, we still have the small matter of Devil's Dyke to negotiate!

You can keep up with all our training exploits at backpedallingbb.blogspot.co.uk - we'd love to see you there!
