Thank you for visiting the Beech Boys Atlantic fundraising page.
Norman and James, aka 'Beech Boys' have now completed the Woodvale Challenge Atlantic Row 2009. After delays to the race start due to bad weather we actually began the row on 4th January 2010 and finished on 27th March 2010. Our crossing time was 82 days 4 hours and 29 minutes. The row started from La Gomera, in the Canary Islands and finished 3000 miles later in Antigua. The beards are now shaved off and we are regaining our normal body weight having lost over two stones each during the row! Details of the voyage are on the race website www.atlanticrowingrace09.com
As we still have fund raising events planned for the year ahead the Justgiving page will stay active until the end of 2010. The row has been a great opportunity to raise funds for WaterAid and in particulat their work in Tanzania. Checkout their website at www.wateraid.org to find out about the valuable work that they do.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: WaterAid gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor Beech Boys Atlantic. You will be helping some of the poorest people in the world to gain access to safe water, sanitation and hygiene education. Thank you.
