The inaugural "Bel-don Challenge" will take place 10-17th April 2011. Eight days, two chaps, one goal: Belfast to London by bike and foot. All told, we aim to cycle over 450 miles and run over 100 miles in just over a week; take that nature.

Starting in bleak war-torn Belfast Jez and Gareth will endeavour to cycle to the bright lights of London in 8 days. Just to add a little spice and girth to the occasion we will bookend each cycle along the way with marathons - Belfast, Dublin, Bristol and finishing with the Virgin London Marathon on 17 April.

We are aiming to raise over £10,000 for the charity Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research, a cause which is very close to both of us.

Itinerary:

Sunday 10 April - 26.2m run, Belfast

Monday 11 April - ca. 100m cycle, Belfast to Dublin

Tuesday 12 April - 26.2m run, Dublin

Wednesday 13 April - ca. 250m cycle, Holyhead to Bristol Day 1

Thursday 14 April - ca. 250m cycle, Holyhead to Bristol Day 2

Friday 15 April - 26.2m run, Bristol

Saturday 16 April - ca. 125m cycle, Bristol to London

Sunday 17 April - 26.2m run, Virgin London Marathon
