After raising over £16k last year, we decided to increase our target to £25k and work with Macmillan for an additional year.We are incredibly proud to be raising funds for Macmillan and we aim to raise at least £25,000 from Feb 2011 to Feb 2013.
What are our we doing?
Ailsa Hay is running the Great Eastern which is a half marathon in October 2012.
I’ve never run any distance before (apart from out of the office on a Friday night!) but recently I thought about setting myself a challenge and a half marathon was the way forward. This was further influenced by the fact that I knew I would be able to raise money for Macmillan through Belvoir.
More than ever in the past few years Cancer has been something that I have found has been “an acquaintance” in my life, be this friends relatives passing from cancer or even closer to home a colleague’s Mother. My Granddad died about 8 years ago from a rather aggressive cancer than took him away from us very suddenly and it’s all of these experiences that will push me to raise as much money as I can for Macmillan and hopefully encourage you to give me as much as you can!
