Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Here's what's happening: Link Community Development is coordinating the 15th Annual Morocco Hitch, in which a few hundred students raise money, then hitchhike the 1600 miles from England to Morocco in groups, through France and Spain. The charity maintains contact with all the hikers to ensure their safety, coordinates the crossing at Gibraltar, and organizes a get-together at the destination.

To participate, each hiker must raise a minimum of £300 (about $550). The Hitch rules state that if a hiker does not complete their hitch in the allotted time, all their pledges will be refunded to the donor. So go ahead: bet me that I'm not crazy enough to hitchike from England to Africa. If I make it, you've just greatly helped African educators.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Link Community Development will receive your money faster.

So please, make a pledge! Ben to Morocco! For more information on me, see my weblog: http://www.mit.edu/~bens/
