I left setting this page up to Ben about 2 months ago, well now here I am, so please we have 2 weeks to go - PLEASE DONATE!

I first met David well over a year ago when I started treating him as a client for sports massage. It soon became apparent that David just doesn't stop - hes either running marathons, cycling the world, geeing everyone up for fundraising, or just being David running around like a mad hatter! Of course this meant that unfortunately for me I saw him an awful lot hehe, but little did I know how incredible David was and the Team Jackie story is! 

Sadly I learnt that David had lost his fun and loving wife, who he adored, Jackie, to pancreatic cancer on the 19th July, less than 11 months after being diagnosed. She was only 46 and left behind such an incredible husband David, who she met at the University of Birmingham in 1984, and two beautiful daughters, Sophie and Jess, aged 13 and 11. Of course soon David was keen to get me on board Team Jackie and Ive managed to get out of running 13 miles with no prior training a few times, until now. But finally hes got not only me, but Ben, yes thats the 6'5 115kg rugby player who has never run more than 4 miles straight in his life! Anyhow were doing it, I've now ran 6 miles ( a wee half off target) and Ben's run 3 (10 miles off). Nevertheless we are determined to beat one another as always, and I am even more determined to wipe that smug grin off Davids face and beat him too! Ladies we all know stamina is sometimes not always a mans strength, and therefore I am sure this will see me through to clinch victory!

When I am running I am going to be thinking of Jackie, those that have lost their lives to cancer, those that have survived, those that are still battling, and the people that have been by their sides all the way!  Please give as much as you are comfortable with, myself and Ben will very very much appreciate it, and I know that those that need this research will appreciate it even more!
