We first found out that our son Benjamin has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) in January 2005. To say we were devastated is an understatement!
At first we were in shock and at times we still have days when it is hard to come to terms with the terrible effect this disease will have on Ben's life. We want to make the most of his life and look for positive ways to find a cure for DMD.
With your help and generosity we can make a difference! There is hope and the possibility of finding a cure for DMD is on the horizon. The valuable research and the campaigning takes time and money. Your help with raising vital funds will make a difference to hundreds of boys and their families, who suffer. This will help our son too.
On Saturday 11 February 2006 I will be taking part in the annual Love Run in Battersea Park. This is a 10k run specifically to raise money for PPUK to help find a cure for DMD.
