Cumberland Infirmary 100K Charity Rowing Challenge · 4 November 2008

The Society of Radiographers Benevolent Fund was set up in the early 1970s to assist members and former members of the Society of Radiographers who find themselves in difficult financial circumstances, including those who are unemployed due to sickness, accident or injury and elderly retired members who are incapacitated.

Story

Welcome to the crazy but wonderful challenge inspired by Andy 'bigarms' Powell (don't ask, I think it's a Navy thing!) to motivate Radiography departments across the UK in an effort to row 100 km in teams of 10 on indoor machines. We must be mad!!  But as always there is a benefit to this madness in the hope that we can persuade you good folk to sponser our efforts in aid of our two chosen charities.

The Cumberland Infirmary 100K rowing challenge takes place on Saturday the 8th November in the atrium of the hospital at 10.30am

Our gallant teams

Calcaneum Spurs:  Jonny Atkinson, Felicity Beatty, Jean Grubb, Katie Brown, Mandy Warwick, Jane Culley, Alan Jackson, Laura Sprott, Louise Morrison.

Radial Head Bangers:  Andy Powell, Jane Gibson, Jason Cook, Nicola Ostridge, Caroline Clark, Penny Beck, Dr John Edge, Sally Frankish, Gary Woods, Sian Houghton.
