Please allow us to introduce ourselves. We are serving Firefighters at Colchester Fire Station, Essex. In 1993 we attempted to and broke the world record for the fastest accent onBen Nevis wearing a breathing apparatus set. That was fifteen years ago and we have decided to have another go at that record. We have set ourselves the date of July 2009 so we have quite a long time to train. But we know that with the lighter technology this is attainable. It is going to take a lot of hard work and commitment and someone should really benefit for all this effort! We have decided as a team to raise money for the “The Firefighters Charity” (no. 1093387) and a charity that we come into regular contact in our line of work, the Essex Air Ambulance (no.1108989). We have set ourselves the realistic target of £10,000 although we hope that we smash this as well.

Any amount that you give us will help us, no matter what how small.

If you are a large company? In order to achieve our target we are asking for corporate sponsorship from major companies. Any amount is vital to help us reach that target.

What can we do for you? This event will be very high profile as we have the local radio stations and press on board and the Essex Air Ambulance which has a big publicity machine that we are jumping on! We also have a web site in the making and we are directing all interest to this. Our sponsors will be prominent on the front page. So your company will get maximum exposure.
