Recently, Clare Thomson was involved in organising a musical event for her HND course at Stevenson College, Edinburgh. (www.trialbyjury-sce.co.uk) All proceeds from the event were donated to DRAKE MUSIC SCOTLAND - a fantastic charity who bring music into the lives of many disabled and handicapped people - www.drakemusicscotland.org
The event was an incredible success, raising over £660 for the charity.
The aims of the charity and the work they do touched Clare's heart - and after a conversation with her boyfriend Stephen, they decided to take on Ben Nevis - and raise funds for Drake Music Scotland :) - £300 doesnt sound much, but for Drake it is !
Drake Music Scotland is a registered charity in Scotland (SC026908) and relies entirely on grants and donations from across the public and private sector.
The difference you can make
With your support we can continue to provide much needed opportunities for people with disabilities to make music.
For example
£10 would help pay for a music lesson for a person with physical disabilities who has never taken part in music-making before.
£50 would help towards small equipment items or music software.
£100 would help train a musician to work with a group of young people.
