The King’s Trust supports 11 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed or struggling at school to get their lives on track. Many of the young people we support are in or leaving care, have been in trouble with the law, or they are facing challenges such as homelessness or mental health issues.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On the 13th September I’ll be racing the 45 miles from Buckingham Palace to Windsor Castle as part of Accenture’s efforts to raise £100,000 for the Prince’s Trust in one event, to mark the 10th anniversary of the ‘Palace to Palace’ charity cycle.  Last year 236 Accenture riders took part raising nearly £70,000, so the target of 500 riders and £100k is an ambitious target, but hopefully one we’ll be able to achieve with your help!

(I’ve also made the foolish mistake of signing up with some extremely active and competitive cyclist colleagues, so being a newbie to the company I’ll be training hard in an effort to keep up with them and grab a good time!)

Accenture has a close relationship with the Prince's Trust, which supports 13 to 30 year-olds who are unemployed and those struggling at school and at risk of exclusion. Many of the young people helped by The Trust are in or leaving care, facing issues such as homelessness or mental health problems, or they have been in trouble with the law.  The Trust’s programmes give vulnerable young people the practical and financial support needed to stabilise their lives, helping develop self-esteem and skills for work.
