Thank you for donating to the great worthwhile cause, Shelter Box. For every £1 you donate, 92p of it does directly to emergency disaster relief in the form of a box containing a tent and essential lifesaving equipment for those affected. Each box costs £490, including direct delivery to those in need, and with its own individual number you can track it all the way to its recipient and see exactly what happens to your donation.
Not only have we chosen Shelter Box because of the fantastic and very worthwhile work they do (and it's based in the West Country), but it seemed a suitable charity to link to Bens name, with his love of travelling, and also how he could always make the best of a bad situation!
We aim to raise enough for at least 1 box, but obvioulsy the more we can donate the better! Any contributions towards 'Bens Box' or hopefully 'Bens Boxes' will be greatly appreciated, so thank you from us all, the Showell family and Shelter Box for your support.
UPDATE - less than 12 hours on since this was launched, and we have been totally overwhelmed and delighted that the original target for 1 box has already nearly been doubled thanks to enormous generosity. My wonderful brother has yet again exceeded expectations - but he wouldn't want us to give up yet, please keep it up!!
