Berkhamsted Zombie Walk · 27 February 2010

FareShare redistributes good-to-eat, surplus food, which would otherwise go to waste, to 8,000 local charities and community groups across the UK. But our charities are facing unprecedented demand for food. Join our fight against hunger and food waste. Support FareShare today.

Story

On 27th February at 13:00 the normally quiet middle class town of Berkhamsted will be crawling (or lurching, if you will) with soulless bodies of the undead.

If you'd like to take part or donate then read on!

We'd like to ask all participants donate what they can to FareShare.
FareShare has been operating since 2004 and today has 12 locations around the UK. Established in 1994 as a project within the homelessness charity Crisis, FareShare aims to help vulnerable groups, whether they are homeless, elderly, children, or other groups in food poverty within our communities.

More information on FareShare can be found here: http://www.fareshare.org.uk/

It isn't compulsory to donate, but why not make a day of fun into a good deed at the same time?

Zombie Rules of Conduct

1. Use the "haunted house" rule in that you are not to touch any living people (ie people not taking part on the zombie walk - would you appreciate a flesh-hungry zombie grabbing at you whilst you're out shopping?)

2. Do not attempt to scare anyone who is not a willing participant. If anyone shows signs that they're not comfortable, turn and shamble in the opposite direction. Avoid confrontations!

3. Stay on the pavement unless crossing the street. When crossing, it's OK to "break character" and cross quickly.

4.  No littering, destruction of property, or any other illegal activity. Please show the utmost respect. If this turns out to be something we'd like to repeat then we don't want to ruin it! Let's put on a good show.

5. Please do not attempt to push your way into any business if you are not welcome.

6. Have fun!
