I have been very lucky to have been chosen to take part in the Best Western Ride of Their Life at York Racecourse on Saturday 16th June 2018. 

This will be one challenge, as I continue to train my pointer, continue my training in my current job, train hard in the gym, on the equicizer and on the gallops on the flatties! My spare time will be spent dedicated to fundraising for Macmillan as I bid to raise a minimum of £5000. I don't want to raise £5000, I want to try my hardest to raise as much money as I can for Macmillan Cancer and will be holding events over the next 6 months. 

I will hope that the money I raise will benefit people in my local community battling against cancer! I will be dedicating my ride to my Grandma who lost the battle to cancer and my other Grandfather who lost his life to pancreatic cancer  and hope that you will support me on this journey. 1 in 2 people are diagnosed with cancer throughout their lifetime and affects more people than you realise. 

Fundraising is hugely important to Macmillan. Without people doing events, running marathons, climbing mountains, and donating in all the other ways that you can, Macmillan wouldn’t exist.
