Beth, Matt, Zoe, Chris, Michelle, Erik, Nic and Ian will be completing the National Three Peaks challenge within 24 hours - traffic permitting!

In February 2015 our world was turned upside down when my nephew Lewis was diagnosed with Stage 4 Burkitts Lymphoma just days before his 6th Birthday. Burkitts Lymphoma is an aggressive form of cancer and Lewis underwent six months of intensive chemotherapy at the Oak Centre for Children at the The Royal Marsden. Thankfully Lewis went into remission later that summer and continues to be an example to us all to live life to the full and enjoy every moment.

The treatment and care that Lewis received and the support provided for my sister Jenny and her husband Steve and our little Ella by the nurses, doctors, consultants and play therapists was incredible and helped make our worst nightmare manageable. We are well aware that we are the lucky ones; not every child survives and not every family has the opportunity to continue to cherish their little ones and make the most of every second with them.

To say thank you to the hospital and help raise the vital funds needed for them to continue with their amazing work, my best friends and I and our brilliant men are going to complete the National Three Peaks Challenge on June 2nd 2017. Our friend Richard has kindly offered to drive us to Scotland and between the mountains so we just need to emulate our amazing SuperLewis and prove we can overcome a challenge!
