Story

I’m joining an amazing team for the last leg of their epic Cycle Against Torture journey from East Sussex to Edinburgh taking place throughout July 2019.

Please sponsor me as I ride with the group from Falkirk to the finish in Leith on 28th July. All proceeds go to Freedom from Torture.

‘Cycle against Torture 2019’ is a cycle ride of 865 miles from Hastings to Edinburgh in July 2019. It will start from Hastings on July 1st, then visit FfT centres / groups, finishing in Edinburgh on Sunday 28th July..

Freedom from Torture helps torture survivors rebuild their lives. Since 1985 when it was set up, more than 57,000 people have been referred for help. Its staff and volunteers provide medical and social care, psychological and physical therapy and medico-legal reports to support asylum appeals. Freedom from Torture educates the public and decision makers about torture and its consequences, and strives to ensure that the UK honours its international obligations towards survivors of torture, asylum seekers and refugees.
