COSMIC- london to Paris cycle · 3 June 2009 ·

The brain is the most complex organ in our body. It controls our emotions, senses and actions. So when it breaks down, we break down. We fund the best research to discover the causes, develop new treatments and improve the lives of those affected. Let’s unite to accelerate progress. Today.

Story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

Just 5 days to go, and I'm just about recovered from my hamstring injury sustained over 4 weeks ago...oh and I've accepted that saddle sore is a state of mind...but the challenge is still on. I am still doing the 500km London to Paris bike ride, so please do sponsor me before June 3rd.

Remember all donations will be going to the Brain Research Trust in London. I personally know at least 3 people who have suffered fatally partly due to lack of brain research, 2 people who have been treated effectively due to applied brain research efforts, and 3 people that currently suffer from brain defects that do not have a cure yet. I'm sure you may know of people in a similar situation too and so can comprehend the value such research can have.

As you can imagine, the conditions that can occur within the brain area are far and wide, to name a few; Alzheimers, Autism, Strokes, Tumors, Spinal injury, and the list could go on. The Brain Research Trust make every effort in supporting each of these conditions and provide initiatives for each every year. You can read about these by visiting the following link........

So now you know more, please do take the time out to sponsor me. Support me in raising funds for a cause that really will make a difference for many millions of people.

Take action yourselves, and I urge you all to pass my webpage link on to others you know would want to make a contribution, you'll be suprised how much this matters to some people.

The cost of travel for this trip is meant to come out of the donations I collect,  however I have decided to cover this cost myself, so all contributions made by you will be purely for the The Brain Research Trust.

And remember - If you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor me now!!
