Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This year the nominated charity is; ABF THE SOLDIERS CHARITY. The charity has been running for 66 years now but is probabley over looked because of the Help For Hero's fund which has been a massive hit.For more information please go on to, www.thesoldierscharity.co.uk.

The event; a bike ride from Southport to Harrogate back to Southport, estimated mileage 150-160. Like last year a group of men{hopefully 10-12} will ride the distance within the day. The date for the event is 25th june 2011 as its the week with the longest daylight hours. All the lads are and have been in training for a while. This is a proper challenge as some of the lads like last year are complete novices. We have the help of 2 experienced tri athletes to help us and they to are going to do the ride.

Please help by giving what you can afford, every little helps and im sure you will agree its a very worth while cause to help our armed forces with whats going on in the world at the present time.

13/6/2011.

well, everybody has trained there hearts out for this one. weve been out in all weathers, you name it we have had it. the ride has a small detour in it at 62miles as the a59 will be closed at this time. so instead of near 150 miles it will be over 160 miles. i am completing the full course tomorrow by car to get the exact mileage and route. the abf soldiers charity have been more than helpfull and i must thank; Col. P.Aindow and retired Col .Lieu. A Logie for there support.

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE donate what you can afford.

27/6/2011.

well, the ride went well with no injuries or accidents. everyone completed it so its a big big thankyou to; ste hart, paul bidwell, tony fowler, andy christian, ronnie burrows, karl jennings, steve core, gary mac. well done boys. WHAT WE DOING NEXT. watch this space.

thanks to everyone for all your donations please keep giving. a little goes a long way.
