The Big Bike Ride · 15 April 2008

At YBTC, we walk beside anyone impacted by a brain tumour diagnosis through every step of their journey. Our local support brings comfort, care, and hope to families across Yorkshire- while our local research and investment in 'pump priming' brings us closer to kinder treatments and a cure.

Story

Update 13th June: Min will be taking the "For Pete's Sake" t-shirt to the Jane Tomlinson 10K on 22nd June (and running the 10K) - if you seem him wave. Keep the Faith!

Update 11th May: In the words of Roy Orbison "It's over". A ride of beautiful scenery (avoiding A roads) and villages, was completed by the Band of Brothers. All, ahem, equipment present and correct, if a bit sore. The winner was Ian Saunders (who rode for the longest time - surely anyone's idea of winning). The other winner was the fish and chip stall at the finishing line. There were some tough moments (Bulmer bank, Ian's puncture 48 miles in, and the last  2 mile climb into Scarborough) but through perseverance, fear of embarassment and what Pete would have said if we failed, we made it. The dip in the North sea at the end was gorgeous. Love and thanks to all who contributed (although we've not finished collecting yet), you made it all worthwhile. Now if I could just find a way of removing the saddle...
