My story
'The Great North Run' September 16th 2012
Last year our 35 year old daughter, Johanna, was diagnosed with a brain tumour. Brian and I have been fund raising since then to support the underfunded research into brain tumours. Our next venture is 'The Great North Run' on September 16th, which we have run for a number of years.
Thanks to your donations we are hopeful that the work being carried out by Dr Tracy Warr and her team at the Neuro-Oncology Research Centre at the University of Wolverhampton will continue to be funded by Brain Tumour UK and improve treatments for Johanna and other brain tumour patients.

Thanks to everyone for supporting us in our fundraising in The Great North Run. We are still standing and still moving and had a fantastic day especially knowing how much you have all contributed to Brain Tumour UK.
Brian and I are now training for The Great North Run September 16th and hope to raise further funds for Brain Tumour UK.
Many thanks to everyone involved in making last's night's event so successful in not only raising nearly £2000, but also in raising awareness of brain tumours and the charity Brain Tumour UK which suppports patients and their families. Jean and Brian Aldred.
