<p>&nbsp;</p> <p>Alright folks,</p> <p>I was telling my sister-in-law Katie the other day that I was flirting with the idea of buzz cutting my hair and shaving off the beard, mainly to freak myself out by seeing whats underneath all the fur, plus I figured its better to scalp myself by choice rather than watch the inevitable retreat of my hairline under the relentless attack of nature. The Bill Bailey look is not for me. Katie suggested getting people to sponsor me to do it......so here we are!</p> <p>I would be grateful if you could donate whatever amount you can, Marie Curie do important and amazing work helping people who are terminally ill to stay in their own home for as long as possible as well as providing hospice care for those whose illness makes staying at home an impossibilty. My mum passed away at home after a long battle with cancer 12 years ago this October and I cannot overestimate how important it was for her and us that she got to spend her last weeks in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family. With the greatest respect to the amazing NHS, I doubt a hospital ward is where any of us would like to spend our last days.</p> <p>And if that's not enough to get you to part with your hard earned cash, I'll be putting up before, during and after photos so you'll be able to laugh at what a numpty I look like with no hair to cover my enormous noggin!</p> <p>Dave</p> <p>Twitter: @davejwnelson</p>
