                 OUR WHOLE TRIP IS AN ODDITY

OMG we actuallydid it we set off on Friday the 13th of July and are currently skateboarding 1000 miles from the Turner Contemporary in Margate to the Tate Modern in St Ives AND BACK! inan attempt to to raise funds for The Psychiatric Research Trust.

Their journey will take around 30 to 40 days and cover more than 1000 miles. Both the team and equipment will be tested to their breaking points during this massive test of endurance to support The Psychiatric Research Trust. (just in case you missed the link the first time:)

Fundraising

Imagine if we could take a step in the direction of curing one of the major mental illnesses. Depression, for example, is estimated to become the second most common cause of disability, after heart disease, by 2020.

£25 000 would support further research into discovering new treatments and cures for mental ill health. (Neurophysiological)

The Paddle Board   

Constructed on 3 continents and assembled in the UK. Eriro Skateboards are building the 'Deck' from carbon fibre with silicone grip tape. The deck is being lovingly shaped by Matt, the owner of Eriro and a staunch supporter of our enterprise from the start. (he also sells the cheapest skate stuff bar non and will build a board for you and your needs. (they ride sweeeeet!)

BrakeBoard Australia, are providing a ‘conical' brake system for the main hill bombing (pat is a big guy and goes fast downhill this baby will slow even him!) 

Donkboard in Florida, have donated a huge Donk Board I can't explain it you have to see them to believe them and forget pot holes the will ride over a small car without a bump!

GoPro  have been kind enough to help us out with a donation of the action sports camera. The Geek Show blew one up the other day and it kept right on filming (in Super Super HD).

The Donk Board will be fitted with a 'Pogo' break donated by Yogi. his shop is one of the largest in Europe, and if you need any advice when buying he's your man.

The Psychiatry Research Trust supports research and investigation into mental health, mental illness and brain disease including specific diseases or conditions with psychiatric aspects. It also supports research into the causes, means of prevention, diagnoses and treatment of such conditions.
