On Saturday 3rd September, employees, friends and family of LSC Group  completed the 'Big Step for SSAFA' walk, which consisted of a 29 mile walk from our Head Office in Fradley to the Selly Oak Norton Home,  taking around 12 hours to complete! We had a fantastic turnout on the day with around 40 people taking part and supporting the event.

We finally arrived at the SSAFA Norton Home at around 19.00pm. Despite the aches and pains, meeting Patrick Hogan SSAFA Norton Home Manager at Selly Oak and reading all the comments from the visitors who have used the facilities made it all worth while!

I think everyone will agree it was challenging to say the least, with a few stretches of the route a little (lot!) further than expected, however everyone pulled together and made it to the end one way or another!

We would just like to say a big thank you to all the walkers who gave up their time and effort to make this a great day and help raise money for such a worthy cause! All of the walkers did amazingly well... A huge achievement for everyone who took part!

We would also like to thank everyone who has sponsored us, all the money raised will go directly to the Norton Home which is a great cause!...  If you haven't donated and would like to you can still sponsor via this JustGiving page.
