Story
Congratulations on finding my page. That's the hard part over ... donating's easy .... read on!
To raise money for this wonderful charity, I will be attempting to row 100,000 metres on Wednesday 28 November - I'm hoping to do this in around eight hours. I don't fancy getting cold and wet so my employers, Dairy Crest, have kindly agreed to let me do this in the company's gym. This means I won't have a cox barking instructions at me and hopefully colleagues won't feel the need to fill the void. If they do, they will have to double their sponsorship (just kidding!).
Make-A-Wish grants magical wishes to children and young people fighting life-threatening illnesses. At any given time, over 20,000 children in the UK are living with life-threatening conditions. Each wish provides memories that last a lifetime for the family.
STOP PRESS - Have now completed the 100k row, did it just over 8 hours and 35 minutes but it's still not too late to sponsor me.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Make-A-Wish Foundation UK will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you. In effect, this means that for every 72p you donate, the charity gets £1 so it's really worth doing this way.
