Thanks for taking the time to visit Alistair & Drew's JustGiving page covering sponsorship for our challenge of riding along the length of Hadrian's wall over two days on mountain bikes - 10th & 11th October 2009.

Update: Well we achieved the challenge !! Two days, two bikes, one wall, 91 miles, one puntcure (before we left!), one broken chain, four aching limbs, many laughs....And we raised more than we thought we would, so thank you all for your generosity.

So many people are inspirational to others, and Andy was one of those that handled life with a joie-de-vivre that was an inspiration (and often exasperation!) to many. As my cousin (Alistair) I have many fond memories of Andy, childhood games and big family Christmases together, but most of all I always remember that Andy always played life to the full, almost as though part him inside always knew that his time was more limited than most of us. We shouldn't eulogise about people too much, suffice to say that people like Andy should be an inspiriation and reminder to all of us of the important things in our lives - family, friends, and good times.

This chartiy bike ride is a little bit of a challenge, a little bit of giving something back and will be a whole lot of fun - something we think Andy would approve of wholeheartedly.
