Hi ,

 Just thought I would update you all on my progress. As you know I took part in the Etape Du Tour 2009 on the 20th July . This took place between Montelimar ( lots of nougat) and the Mont Ventoux ( lots of pain). 9500 people took part , most of them finished, but some went home in ambulances (but not me).

 It was a wonderful experience and thousands of the local population came out to cheer us on.  Even the sun came out for us. After 90 miles of cycling we had the enjoyable task of climbing the Ventoux  in a temperature of 38C. A kindly French Fireman hosed me down as I climbed up through the forest . I would have kissed him , but I was too tired by then. I can honestly say that the Etape was the hardest thing that I have ever done. I have never been in so much pain or felt so tired.

 

As I write I have raised £765 for Moor House School . I just wanted to thank you for all your encouragement and for donating so generously. It has meant alot to me and will make a big difference to the boys and girls at Moor House.
