Story
Bike around Britain is 2 people, Alan Green and Simon Hoyle, doing a 2800 mile coastal circuit around Mainland Britain in just 7 days, to raise as much money as possible for The New Childrens Hospital Appeal.
Alan's son Joseph was born in July 2004 and had alot of problems at birth and their local hospital were unable to look after him as his was so ill, it was then he was transferred to St. Mary's in Manchester who saved his life. After spending 6 weeks in the Special Care baby Unit, he was left with Severe Cerebral Palsy, Epilepsy and Deafness amongst other problems. He's since had 2 cochlear implants which now help him to hear, but the cerebral palsy is a daily battle for him as he cant sit, stand or walk. But despite these problems without the specialist care of the Doctors and Nurses at St. Mary's Joseph would not have survived
