Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit the JustGiving page for BIKE@HYMS.
Over the 7th and 8th of June, as part of the celebrations to mark the 10th anniversary of the Hull York Medical School, we cycled to each of HYMS main teaching locations, covering 250 miles in just 24 hours. We visited Scarborough, York, Goole, Scunthorpe, Grimsby and ended the ride at the Castle Hill Hospital in Hull.
The BIKE@HYMS team is made up of eleven students and staff of the medical school, together with colleagues from our partner organisations, the University of Hull, the University of York and the NHS. Whilst the challenge was a team event, it was not a relay - each of the riders cycled the whole route.
You can find more information at www.hyms.ac.uk/documents/ten/bike_leaflet.pdf and www.hyms.ac.uk/documents/ten/bike_presentation.pdf
The ride will raise funds to support the chosen HYMS@TEN good causes: local hospices and student bursaries and scholarships.
