The London to Southend Bike Ride · 7 May 2008

The BFBS Big Salute annual fundraising campaign makes a BIG difference to the lives of serving personnel and veterans. The BFBS Big Salute is run by the British Forces Broadcasting Service which informs, entertains, connects and champions the armed forces wherever they serve.

Story

Hiya, welcome to our donations page. All five of us are looking forward to the ride from lovely London to sunny Southend, for one or two of us it'll be the result of a bit of training to be fit enough to cover the 59 miles, and if previous experience is anything to go by all of us will have sore ar.... I mean sore behinds when we reach the finish line.

The Big Salute is a multi charity appeal being driven by the SSVC, there are 5 services charities that benefit from your generosity each separate and distinct in it's own right. Between them all they help injured ex-services people to cope with life's challenges on their return to the UK after the trauma's of active service around the worlds hotspots. http://www.ssvc.co.uk/bfbs/bigsalute/index.php

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: The Big Salute will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor us now!

Many thanks for your support.
