I'm riding the Route Des Grandes Alpes (Great Alpine Road) in support of Mind, who do loads of really good work helping people with mental health issues. They directly help over 250,000 people a year with immediate support, and are relentless in lobbying the government to take mental health issues seriously, impacting policy for the benefit of us all.

 

 

The route is a fairly gruelling 687km over some of the highest Alpine passes. I suspect I'll be in a lot of pain on my return! Anyone know the total ascent involved on this route?
