We are "biking for bowels" as we have both family and friends who have suffered with or are being treated for bowel cancer. Bowel cancer is the 3rd most common cancer and the 2nd biggest cancer killer.

We have chosen to cycle from our home in Henley-on-Thames to Annecy in the French Alps where we often holiday.

It is over 600 miles and we aim to cover this in 6 days (100 miles per day). We are leaving Henley on 31st March 2010.

We are raising money for the Bowel Disease Research Foundation, the research arm of the Association of Coloproctologists of GB and Ireland, who support vital research into all bowel disease including cancer.
