Expedition to North Pole · 10 January 2006

Naomi and Jack's provide 24 hour care to more than 550 life limited and life threatened children and young adults from across central southern England. We offer respite, community, emergency, end of life and post bereavement care on good days, difficult days and last days.

Story

Thank you for visiting my web site.

I have financed this event from my own resources so every penny you give will go to the Wessex Children's Hospice Trust (Naomi House). You may like to take a moment to link to their web site to see the fantastic work they do in making life so positive for families they help. www.naomihouse.org.uk

To make this challenge more interesting it's competitive! We race on skis, pulling our supplies in 120lb sledges, stopping on route at 3 manned checkpoints to re-supply.

With temperatures down to  minus 70 and crossing the home of 80% of the worlds Polar Bears, our team of 3 will spend 3 weeks trekking over 350 nautical miles to reach the 1996 location of the Magnetic North Pole.  Should you wish to track our progress a daily report will appear on the following web site: www.polar-challenge.com from the 10th April 2006.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Wessex Children's Hospice Trust will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
