We’re going back again for our 5th year of fundraising for CLIC at the CLIC 24 hour mountain bike event.
The official CLIC24 event web site can be found here http://www.clic24.org.uk/, and the event HQ is at the Charterhouse Centre up on the Mendips.
We are entering a team again this year, knowing the off-road course is approximately 10km or about a hour ride time for us, our challenge is 24 laps in 24 hours!
Last year was dry and sunny and we managed 27 laps despite a couple of punctures, some lighting issues, a couple of chain derailments and setting fire to the car whilst cooking that well known power food, super noodles.
2007 was a mud bath and we managed 22.
Anyway, enough of that, the important thing here is to raise as much cash for CLIC Sargent as possible, so please be generous, perhaps skip a takeaway this week and donate the savings.
