I am Bina, living in a very small town called Witham, in Essex, with my husband and two grown up daughters.
This charity that I am going to work for is based in Jinja, Uganda, where I was born and raised. How do I explain what it means to be made homeless, to start again , to build a new life, to understand this new country and its people and still long to go back to the place of your birth? Here is my chance to do just that and teach in my very own town at a school that cares for orphans.I am fund raising to support this school and travel there to teach pottery and ceramics in October 2009.I am very grateful to Soft Power Education for all there help.I orgainised a BBQ for friends and sold off almost all my ceramics and raised £400!
I need YOUR help to raise £2,000, to make this wish come true, because I didn't have much of a chance to teach but now I can,and I hope I will.
Thanks All,
Bina-m
