BACKGROUND
OK, so here’s the scene. Alex is going to be running the London Marathon in April 2009 and needs to do some serious fundraising. One morning he was speaking to Miss Acebey about this and she mentioned that he should do a full body wax (as for those of you that don’t know he's fairly hairy, so i have been told) and she was prepared to pay £50 – an offer too good to turn down!
So after Alex defined what a full body waxing would be, it became apparent that eyebrows weren't going to be included. So this idea got a few of his friends thinking, how much would we have to raise for Alex to shave off his eyebrows? Well after some discussion £5,000 was agreed upon, and that leads us here.
THE CHARITY
All donations through this and the marathon will be going to very good cause, Elimination of Leukaemia Fund (ELF), a charity with the aim of advancing the cure and treatment of leukaemia, lymphoma and myelodysplastic syndromes.
THE Extended OFFER
We are Looking for 2500 people to sponsor £2 each (this is the minimum you can donate). If we reach the target of £5,000 by April 2009 then Alex said he would be willing to shave his eyebrows off (along with the rest of his body hair)!!!
PLEASE REMEMBER
- All donations will go to a very good cause and will be appreciated
- I will still be doing a lot of hard work and training for the marathon
