I have two retired greyhounds, both from Ireland and I can testify to the joy they can bring to your life. My ‘recycled’ dogs are Sweet and Sandy, both 5 years old.

It's not easy adopting any animal, especially when they are adult and have very little idea how to live as pets. But half the joy is growing together and learning from each other, although it does help if you have a comfy sofa and a great support network like Greyhounds in Need.
