Fran Blackburn passed away in February 2010 after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for over 5 years. To help Fran with the degenerative symptoms the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) provided much help and support.
On 26/27 June 2010, Fran's sons, Iain and Jez, chauffered by her husband, Adrian, climbed the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in less than 24 hours, in a time of 19 hours and 53 minutes, raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association to help others and strive towards a world without MND.
