My story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Fran Blackburn passed away in February 2010 after suffering from Motor Neurone Disease (MND) for over 5 years. To help Fran with the degenerative symptoms the Motor Neurone Disease Association (MNDA) provided much help and support.

On 26/27 June 2010, Fran's sons, Iain and Jez, chauffered by her husband, Adrian, climbed the three highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales in less than 24 hours, in a time of 19 hours and 53 minutes, raising money for the Motor Neurone Disease Association to help others and strive towards a world without MND.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

So it’s the most efficient way to donate - we raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity. All donations are greatly appreciated.

Thanks for your support.

Adrian, Iain and Jez Blackburn

The Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association is the only national organisation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland dedicated to the support of people with MND and those who care for them. Our mission is to fund and promote research to bring about an end to MND. Until then we will do all that we can to enable everyone with MND to receive the best care, achieve the highest quality of life possible, and die with dignity.
