At Young Lives vs Cancer, we help families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. But every day 12 more children and young people hear the devastating news they have cancer. We’ll face it all together – but we can’t do it without you. Visit www.younglivesvscancer.org.uk

Story

7 GIGS - 1 DAY !

On 20th September 2008, Black Galleon - an acoustic folk rock/alt. Country band from North Cornwall - will be attempting 7 gigs in 1 day to raise money for their chosen charity, CLIC Sargent.

The unique way of achieving this is by using the band’s 40-foot stage trailer, which will move from village to town in the North Cornwall / Bude area. Once the truck, provided by G. Pearce Haulage Ltd and stage has stopped, Black Galleon will play one of their gig sets to anyone who wishes to attend. But be warned the ‘bucket shakers’ will be out for your loose change!

Starting in Whitstone at 9.30am, Black Galleon will then perform in Week St Mary, Marhamchurch, Bude, Kilkhampton and Bridgerule, before returning to Whitstone for the 7th and final gig in the village hall from 7.30pm. The evening performance will be the highlight of Black Galleon’s day-long tour with a bar provided by the Red Post Inn and barbecue.

We are looking for sponsership for each gig we do - so please help us to achieve this to help CLIC Sargent to do their excellent work.

You can visit our MySpace page if you wish to read more about the band and listen to some Mp3's.
