Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

We are a team of 6 who will be running the Beachy Head Marathon in October. It is a very hilly course and we will encounter much hardship along the way. All but one of us are marathon virgins and not very fit so it will be a big challenge. Some of us will also be taking part in the 'Hitchin to Hitchin' bike ride from 23rd to 26th September. This involves bikes, trains and more pain. The main part of the route is through the Lake District and Pennines and we will cover over 200 miles in total.

Why are we doing this? Well apart from the personal challenge we would like to raise money for a great charity - Medic Malawi. It is a small charity based in the UK that provides financial and practical support to a small community (Mtunthama) in Malawi. It really makes a difference! A modest donation can make a big impact and the charity runs a hospital and two orphanages to support the local community

Three of us are members of a business breakfast club in Hitchin, 'Blaze'. Hence our team name - 'Blaze for Malawi'

If you have a minute please watch the video on this page which is about the children your donation will help

We really appreciate your support. Thank you.
