At the end of June each year a group of minis, from all over the country leave Bideford for the start of the annual Land's End to John O’Groats mini run.

LEJOG is the first of the NDMR major fund raising events and each of the minis do a round trip of about 2000 miles. Using mainly A & B roads with 2 short sections of motorway we cross some of the country's best countryside. We leave Bideford on Monday and are in John O’Groats by Friday lunch time. We do about 250 miles a day between camp sites and stop every morning at a supermarket for breakfast, we even know where the toilets are en route. The event is not a race or a rally, it is just a small group of mini nuts doing what we enjoy most; driving our minis and knowing that we can help raise a great deal of money makes it even more fun.

The Blowin' Tyres team, consists of the mother and daughter pairing of Carol and Michelle Stone. We have been taking part every year since 2000, which makes this our 10th year. (Foot and mouth caused the event to be cancelled in 2001). We earned our name in 2005 after getting a blow out on a precarious bend, with a Police car right behind us! They even stopped to help us change the tyre.

We will be lead car again this year, for the fourth time. I think we're getting the hang of it now.
