Sue, Steve, Ashleigh, Brett, Stuart and Dylan are all taking part in the UK Wild Challenge from 4-6 September to raise money for Britain's leading youth charity The Prince's Trust. All of the money we raise will go directly to supporting young people in the South West of England. We will be biking, hiking (maybe running but don't tell the rest of the team!!!) and kayaking across Exmoor. In between we will endure two sleepless nights under canvass!!!
The impact of the current recession is being felt most accutely by disadvantaged young people who are being pushed further and further away from the job market as the number of unemployed increases. One in four people made redundant is a young person aged 16 - 25.
Sue is the regional director for The Prince's Trust and sees the difference your support makes to young people every day. Our young people are the entrepreneurs of the future and they all deserve a chance to fulfil their potential. Demand for our services has increased by 50% over the last year but this is set against a backdrop of an ever more challenging fundraising landscape.
Please join us in making a significant difference to the lives of young people and ultimately their communities and society as a whole. We aim to raise £10000 so please help us get off to a flying start and in return we will cover over 100 miles in the course of 3 days battling our way across exmoor!!!! £10000 could support 5 young people on our business programmes or it could provide 60 young people with a development award to help them access training or education.
If 100 people sponsor us for £100.00 this will get us to target. If you are a corporate sponsor we will gladly wear your T Shirt if you are willing to give us a minimum of £1000.00. If you give us £2000.00 we will wear your T Shirt for each day of the challenge.
