We exist to give a lifetime of support to the wider Army family, regardless of where or when a soldier served. We act swiftly and efficiently in providing support in the form of grants to those who find themselves in real need. We also provide grants to charities who support the wider Army family.

Story

Thank you for visiting the Birds Nest Cottage Garden Party donation website. Jamie Hancock was killed on active service in Iraq in November 2006. His mother Lynda Ledwith is holding the second annual garden party in his honour. This features "Jamie's garden" which has been constructed and maintained in his honour.

Much has been said about the rights and wrongs of the war in Iraq and Afghanistan however the soldiers go there out of duty and daily run the risk of injury or death. Donations are given to The Army Benevolent charity who do excellent work supporting Jamie's colleagues and their families in their hour of need, providing financial backup when it is needed most.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Army Benevolent Fund gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support.
