From 8am on the 17th of February until 8pm on the 21st, I will remain in my flat with no human contact. I will be living my life similar to that of isolated elderly people across the country. The purpose of this project is to raise awareness for Contact the Elderly and highlight the problem of elderly long term isolation. I will periodically send one way messages to the head office of the charity and they will tweet on my behalf.

I will not have a cell phone, access social media, or speak to anyone for the entire duration of the project. The only time I will leave my flat is to take the rubbish out.

I am asking people to donate 1-10p per hour that I will be in isolation (108 hours). All proceeds will directly benefit the lives of isolated elderly people all over the United Kingdom.
