Back in January weighing in at 23 stone 12lb (151.9kg) and struggling to walk up my own stairs without being out of breath Then Bobby said he wanted to be like me when he grows up....FAT.
Vowing to be a better role model I ve lost over five stone and started running now having completed my first run while in Australia a 7km fun I am aiming to double this and do the 14km Perth Run for a reason and also raise money for a charity that has helped Bobby.
The 14km event which takes you from the WACA, along Riverside Drive, onto the Mitchell Freeway and then the Graham Farmer Freeway, through the tunnel, onto Great Eastern Highway and over the Causeway. Participants finish by running onto the WACA ground. This involves running over two bridge and seeing as I suffer chronic Gephyrophobia ( An abnormal and persistent fear of crossing bridges.) That will be more daunting than a run.
But inspired by Bobby's braveness in dealing with his eplisey I am desperate to do this and raise money for a charity that has helped Bobby
The Muir Maxwell Trust who provided the alarm for his bed that goes off if he suffers a seizure brought on by his epilepsy. These alarms aren’t cheap but are life savers so I aiming to at least raise the money they provided for his alarm so as they can help other children as well. so please give anything you can.
Thank you
Philip
