Flora London Marathon 2009 · 26 April 2009 ·

Every seventh person in the UK has tinnitus. Tinnitus UK wants a world without tinnitus. They support and care for people with tinnitus, enable research on cures/treatments, train hearing professionals, advocate for policy change, and promote hearing protection for prevention.

Story

Many thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I will be running the London marathon to support the British Tinnitus Association (see http://www.tinnitus.org.uk/ for more information). Although there are no sufferers in the canine family, about 10 per cent. of the human population (including myself) have mild tinnitus all the time and, in up to one per cent. of adults, this may affect the quality of their life. Whilst I have learned to cope with my tinnitus, others are not so lucky. The British Tinnitus Association is an organisation to help those who do suffer, and prevent others from suffering.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Tinnitus Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

My training partners Rocky Balboa and Apollo Creed fully support my running the London marathon to raise money for the British Tinnitus Association. Clubber Lang is also fully behind this: "I pity the suffer of tinnitus!" he is often heard to say. 'Nuff said really.

Please sponsor me now, encourage me training for and support me running the London marathon!

Woof!
