The British Red Cross, a charity incorporated by Royal Charter 1908, helps people in crisis, whoever and wherever they are. And when the crisis is over, we help them to recover and move on with their lives.

Story

Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. We are planning an attempt on Bob Graham's legendary round of the lake district. It took in 42 peaks over 72 miles with over 8,000m of ascent within 24 hours. It's going to hurt.

There's barely a day goes by when somebody's life, somewhere, is destroyed. The Red Cross provide invaluable lifelines but need funding to provide the people and the resources. We want to use the trial of our round to help raise funds to help maintain this good work.

We're the lucky ones, living away from fault lines, fatwas and famines, so get behind us, slap down a pound (or two) and if you haven't already visited www.bobgraham2007.blogspot.com then do so. It explains why we only want you to sponsor us £1 or £2.

Bob's record (set in 1932) wasn't beaten for 28 years so we need all the support we can get.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: British Red Cross will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Andy, Casper, Dave, Ian and Nick
